The Study of the Development of a Set of Problem-based Learning Activities on Additional Science Subjects: Force and Motion of for Mathayomsuksa 2 Student.

The objectives of this study were 1) to develop a set of problem-based learning activities on the additional science subject: force and motion by Mathayomsuksa 2 students, 2) to find the effectiveness index (E.I ) of the problem-based learning activity package on force and motion of on the additional science subject: forces and motion by Mathayomsuksa 2 students, 3) to compare learning achievements before and after learning by using set of problem-based learning activities on the additional science subject: forces and motion by Matthayomsuksa 2 students and 4) to study the students’ satisfaction with the problem-based learning activity package on on the additional science subject: forces and motion by Mathayomsuksa 2 students.

The sample group in the study was 33 Mathayomsuksa 2 students by cluster random sampling, studying in the second semester of the academic year 2021, Municipal 1 Sawangwitthaya School, Muang Nong Khai. The research instruments has consisted of: 7 sets of problem-based learning activities on the additional science subject: forces and motion by Mathayomsuksa 2 students, and 7 Learning Management Plan (Learning Activity Set Manual) consists of using the learning activity set using the problem as the additional science subject: forces and motion whiche results of suitability assessment were at the highest level with an average of () 3) Learning Achievement Test on the additional science subject: forces and motion by Mathayomsuksa 2 students was a multiple-choice test with 30 items (4 options) with the difficulty (0.43 – 0.70), an discrimination (0.47 – 0.73) and  Reliability  of 0.86, and 4) the assessment form towards the learning management using a set of subject-based problem-based learning activities of the additional science subject: forces and motion by Matthayomsuksa 2 students with Rating Scale, 5 levels in 20 items. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean (), percentage (%), standard deviation () and test scores before and after learning by using the statistic was dependent.

 

 

The Study Result:

1) A set of problem-based learning activities on additional science subject: forces and motion by Mathayomsusa 2 student had an efficiency of 84.72/ 84.55 which is higher than the 80/80 criterion set.

2) Effectiveness index () of the problem-based learning activity package on  additional science subject: forces and motion by Mathayomsusa 2 student was equal to .7733, indicating learners had increased learning progress of 77.33 percent.

3) The Mathayomsusa 2 students who study with a set of problem-based learning activities on additional science subject: forces and motion had higher learning achievement after learning than before learning at the statistical significance level of .05.

4) The Mathayomsusa 2 students’ satisfaction towards learning with the problem-based learning activity package on additional science subject: forces and motion had the overall satisfaction at the highest level, mean (=4.58, =.51).
